A: The web site migration service on offer at Seed Web Services is absolutely free of cost and involves moving all your files, databases and e–mails from your present hosting provider to your new hosting account with us. We will also fine–tune all the configuration settings needed for your websites to be completely operational on our ultra–modern cloud hosting platform.Our techs are fully capable of moving any type of web site. With years of work experience in this field, they are well–versed in the inner workings of our hosting platform, our Control Panel and all other well–known Control Panels. For them, moving a custom–built web app with plenty of custom libraries is as easy as moving a simple WordPress weblog.

A: While we cannot give you an exact time interval, because there are many variables, among them the physical size of the files and databases, the location of the present host’s server, the complexity of your website and the current workload of our Website Migration Department, etc., we’ll do our best to migrate your web site within 48 hours, and in some cases – within 24 hours (if the content is not large).

A: Yep. We’ll need the name of the site that you wish us to move. We will also require a means to log into your old hosting account so that we can get the content pertaining to your site.

A: In order for us to start the transfer of your web hosting account, you must first open an account with us. Opening an account with us will require that you to share literally the same details you have given to your present web hosting provider. We also have a very rigorous Privacy Policy, which describes how sensitive data is used.

A: Your website will work just like it did before with your former web hosting provider. As soon as we are through with the migration, your site will be configured to work on our web hosting platform and we’ll alert you to preview it. If everything is functioning properly, all you will need to do is update the name server resource records corresponding to your domain. Your site will be transferred to us with no downtime.

A: Nah. Apart from your login credentials for the Control Panel, we do not require anything. We will never touch base with your web hosting provider. They will not know anything about the transfer either.

A: We can migrate your site from any web hosting provider or any Linux–based web hosting platform provided that we can receive access to the Control Panel and there is File Transfer Protocol access available.The only web sites that we are unable to transfer are those based on closed–source software applications such as Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square and Mr Site.
